In times of rapid change markets go through massive transition and in the process even the giants shake - some collapse.  As fear and insecurity rise, times like these feel like sheer survival for many.  Not many living people know that survival is a choice as deeply and intimately as Yossi Ghinsberg. Having been lost for three weeks in the depths of the uncharted Amazon, in the midst of a raging rainy season, without companionship, food, weapon or fire, he survived against all odds.  The most important thing he learned from this experience was that we all have the power to survive.

Yossi Ghinsberg teaches that survival is a choice…one that comes with results that may not look as we had originally expected or planned.

After his rescue Yossi returned to the Amazon, to the very same valley in which he was lost; he made it his home for nearly three years.  With the help of the local native people he founded The Madidi National Park, the biggest biodiversity conserve in the Amazon.

Yossi’s choice to connect rather than retreat has become his life’s journey.  He is the CEO of an Israeli / Arab Reconciliation Festival where spiritual leaders of both Islam and Judaism conduct special prayers for peace.
A documentary of his survival was created by The Discovery Channel, the success of which has now led to a soon to be released feature film. His delivery is a powerful multi sensory experience, evoking emotions and challenging commonly held concepts.

Yossi believes that nothing promotes growth more than an unexpected experience and unconventional thinking. In these times of great challenge and change, Yossi’s Power to Survive message is timely.
His book “Jungle” is an international best-seller, followed by his latest release titled “Laws of the Jungle - Jaguars Don’t Need Self-Help Books.”

Presentation Topics

The Power to Survive
In the midst of the uncharted Amazon, after a tragic separation from his friends, one man is lost alone for weeks in the heart of the Amazon with no food or weapons, in the midst of the worst rainy season in decades.  This young Israeli traveler is tested to the extreme through 20 harrowing days of sheer survival.  A riveting storyteller, Yossi Ghinsberg relives his ordeal, sweeping audiences into the depths of the primordial jungle.

They experience:
  • What it takes to adapt to change
  •  How to deal with adversity
  • The challenges of survival
Yossi challenges audiences:  "The problem with life may be that it is not tough enough. It is the day to day mundane problems that grind us. When a moment of real struggle emerges, we naturally tap into our survival resources and find ourselves ready to fight.”

How do we rise to the challenge of living every day of our life as if it is our last?  How can we bring radiating intensity to our thoughts, words and actions?  Is adversity a part of life and being a victim a matter of choice?

Yossi's presentations allow audiences to answer these questions while keeping people on the edge of their seats wondering what's going to happen next.

Sailing the Seas of Change
”It is not the strongest of the species that survives nor the most intelligent, but the one most adaptable to change.”  Charles Darwin

The famous adage says: “change is the only constant”.  As inherent and inevitable as change is, it is perceived by many individuals and organizations as a problem.

A master storyteller, Yossi’s keynote on change is not a lecture but a journey.  He takes audiences far away from their mundane reality and far above their judgmental minds, allowing access to new perspectives and reflections:
  • Understanding and welcoming change
  • Releasing past experiences
  • Moving through change and adversity while maintaining responsibility and power
Yossi gives audiences an understanding and acceptance of change and the tools to incorporate this philosophy into their lives

Laws of the Jungle - Jaguars Don’t Need Self-Help Books

The only species that separates and alienates itself from nature is our own.  Isolated in that seclusion we either try to dominate nature or protect ourselves from it.

In this keynote, Yossi asks his audience to see ‘the big picture’.  Most of us live ‘life in a box’…we've forgotten that it is our birthright to be and feel part of our planet and the entire universe we live in.

Having lived in the Amazon rainforest for three years and now living in the Australian rainforest, Yossi knows how to bring the natural world to life…and how to relate it to an audience in a fascinating way.

The teaching of the 'Laws of the Jungle' to audiences has a tremendous and direct impact, bringing breakthroughs and transformations to both individuals and organizations.

This topic is highly entertaining due to Yossi’s ability to tell stories and create mind images with his audiences, and at the same time the material can only be described as life-changing.

The ‘Laws of the Jungle’ is a topic packed with content and can be delivered as a 60 to 90 minute keynote allowing time for interaction and Q and A. Alternatively it can be extended to a 3 hour breakout session.

NOTE:  This keynote is based on his recent book by the same name.

We have heard a lot about him and his life experiences but little did we know we were about to meet a storyteller of world stature. His stories had the power to remove us from our mundane and familiar realities and take us to Yossi’s magical world of exotic places and dramatic adventures. No one could stay indifferent, hanging on each word and with him in every breath, exploring not only the wilderness of the Amazon and the physical endurance but also the mysteries of  the heart and the nature of existence.  It was a most memorable evening and truly inspirational experience, and Yossi’s gift will remain with us no doubt for a long time.
