Mike is one of North America’s most credible, versatile and experienced professional speakers.  Among his topics are:  Customer service, teamwork, managing change, sales skills, sales management skills, leadership, speaking skills, creativity, time management and ethics in business.  Mike has spoken to over 3,000 groups in 49 states and several countries….to virtually every conceivable type of public sector and private sector group, including hundreds of associations, both state and national.  He is an upbeat speaker with 75% content and about 25% humor in each presentation.  His biggest strength is in listening closely to the client needs and tailoring his speech, accordingly.

Mike graduated from the School of Business at the University of Georgia.  Mike started his business career in the retail field, spent a short time in the life insurance business, and then went to work as a fledgling salesman for an international sales organization.  He worked himself up to one of their top salespeople and then to vice-president of sales……..within four years and by the age of 26.  He started his own training company in 1971 and has been an entrepreneur ever since.  Mike has co-authored two books and solely authored one.

He has served as president of the 3,500 member, National Speakers Association and has received their top honors.  Among them are the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation, the CPAE Speaker Hall-of-Fame Award (only 140 other speakers in the world have this honor.  Among the others are: Zig Ziglar, Dr. Ken Blanchard, Colin Powell, Art Linkletter and the late Dr. Norman Vincent Peale) and the CAVETT Award, which is bestowed to only one speaker in the world each year.  Mike is the only speaker to have ever received the latter two awards in the same year.

His speaking style is upbeat, humorous and participative.  He uses many real-life stories and illustrations in all of his presentations, usually including specific examples from the industry to which he is speaking.
